KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) dosing guide

Anti-inflammatory tripeptide derived from alpha-MSH for gut healing and inflammation control. KPV is the C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) with potent anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits NF-κB, reducing inflammation without immunosuppression.

Quickstart Highlights

  • Dosage: 200-500mcg
  • Frequency: 1-2x daily
  • Administration: Subcutaneous or oral
  • Cycle length: 4-12 weeks

Dosing Plan

Weeks Dose Units
Weeks 1–2 (Starting) 200mcg once daily 8 units (0.08mL) from 2.5mg/mL
Weeks 3–4 (Standard) 300-500mcg once daily 12-20 units (0.12-0.2mL)

How to mix

2ml BAC water per 5mg vial

  1. Draw 2.0mL bacteriostatic water with a sterile syringe.
  2. Inject slowly down the vial wall.
  3. Gently swirl until completely dissolved.
  4. Label with date. Concentration = 2.5mg/mL (2,500mcg/mL).
  5. Refrigerate at 2–8°C. Use within 4 weeks.

Syringe Math Reference

  • 5mg vial with 2mL BAC water = 2.5 mg/mL = 2,500 mcg/mL
  • 200mcg dose = 8 units (0.08mL)
  • 300mcg dose = 12 units (0.12mL)
  • 500mcg dose = 20 units (0.2mL)

How This Works

KPV is a tripeptide (Lysine-Proline-Valine) derived from the C-terminal of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It exerts potent anti-inflammatory effects primarily through inhibition of NF-κB, the master transcription factor that drives inflammatory gene expression. KPV can enter cells and directly interact with the NF-κB signaling pathway. Unlike steroids, it reduces inflammation without causing immunosuppression, making it ideal for chronic inflammatory conditions.
