PNC-27 dosing guide

PNC-27 is a synthetic peptide containing a p53 protein fragment linked to a cell-penetrating sequence. It selectively targets cancer cells that overexpress HDM-2 (a p53 inhibitor), inducing membrane lysis in cancer cells while leaving normal cells unaffected.

Quickstart Highlights

  • Dosage: Varies (research)
  • Frequency: Research plans
  • Administration: Research - various routes
  • Cycle length: Research plans only

How This Works

PNC-27 contains an amphipathic peptide that binds to HDM-2 (MDM2), a protein overexpressed on the surface of many cancer cells. When PNC-27 binds to membrane-associated HDM-2, it causes membrane pore formation and necrotic cell death. Normal cells, which don't overexpress HDM-2 on their surface, are unaffected, providing selectivity for cancer cells.
